You have the right to delete your account and personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. This page explains how to request account deletion and what data is affected.

Patient App

Request via Email

If you cannot access the app, send an account deletion request via email.

Send an email to avizhomehealthcare@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".

Please include your registered phone number in the email so we can verify your identity. We will process your request within 7-10 business days and send a confirmation email once your data has been anonymized.

What Happens to Your Data

Data That Is Deleted or Anonymized

  • Profile name, email, and avatar
  • Phone number (anonymized)
  • Home address and saved locations
  • Medical conditions and allergies
  • Emergency contacts
  • Consent records
  • Referral codes and history
  • Appointment notes and symptoms
  • Order delivery addresses
  • Device and FCM tokens

Data Retained (Anonymized)

  • Appointment history (anonymized) — retained for provider records
  • Order and payment records (anonymized) — required under Income Tax Act 1961, Section 139 (7-year retention)
  • Prescription records (anonymized) — retained per Drugs and Cosmetics Rules
  • Emergency SOS logs (anonymized) — retained for 1 year for service improvement
  • Analytics data (aggregated, not personal)

All retained data is fully anonymized — your name, phone, and email are permanently removed. Retained data cannot be linked back to you.

Important Notes

  • Account deletion is irreversible. Once processed, you cannot recover your account or data.
  • Active service bookings must be completed or cancelled before deletion.
  • Refund and cancellation policies apply to any pending transactions.
  • Emergency SOS dispatch history is retained in anonymized form for 1 year for legal and quality purposes.
  • You may withdraw your account deletion request within 24 hours by contacting support.
  • If you have an active subscription, please cancel it before requesting deletion to avoid future charges.

Processing Time

In-app deletion is processed immediately. Email requests are processed within 7-10 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once complete.
